Compostitional Elements- Lines and Center Of Interest

This picture clearly illustrates the compostitional element of center of interest because this picture has only one principal topic which is the lock and everything in the background helps to draw your eye to the lock.

This picture of a flower shows the compositional element of center of interest because the first thing that the viewer's eye sees is the yellow flower and all the leaves in the background help support and focus the eye on the flower.

Every single picture has a center of interest. It is the main idea, topic or the principal feature that the viewer's eye is attracted to. Every thing in the background should help focus the viewers attention on the main idea so that it pops out.

A picture without a center of interest or a picture with several centers of interest, will confuse the viewer's eye.It will make the viewer confused and wonder what the photo is about.

Lines are a great way to control where someone looks within an image. They can separate, bring together, or accent certain parts of a photo. The point of lines is to draw the eye into a picture.There are many types of lines that are used in photography like vertical lines for example trees and tall structural designs. There are horizontal lines that are usually fallen trees, the ocean, beaches. Curved lines or s curves are also a type of line which includes rivers, streams, paths and even the human body. There are also diagonal lines and converging lines.

ALL TIME LOW in a church.

For my photo i decided use a picture of All Time Low because they are one of my favorite bands. I decided to put them in a church because i found a picture of them in their underwear and thought that putting that picture in a chuch would be wierd and out of place, also its not a normal spot where you would find people in their underwear.

Before actually making the picture seen above, i had to find a picture of a chuch and a picture of All Time Low in their underwear. Once i found them, i opened the picture of All Time Low on Photoshop CS, and used the magic eraser tool by clicked of different parts of the background and what the tool did was it toke those parts of the background away, with the parts of the background that remained, i erased it by using the background eraser tool and erased the other parts by hand. Once all the background was erased i clicked on the bottun SELECT then on the button that said ALL and then pressed CTRL+C which copied the image. Then i opened the picture of chruch on photoshop and while on that pciture, pressed CTRL+V which pasted the picture of ALL TIME LOW on the picture of the church.And that is exactly how i made the pictrue that can be seen above.
