PSA Analysis

1. This PSA talks about cyber bullying.
2. the message that is presented is, " if you wouldnt say it in person why say it online?" and the images that are presented help evoke this message because the expressions on the peoples faces show that cyberbully hurts and its changes the way the people see others.
3. The images that are the most effective in getting the message across are the all the faces of people looking at the girl that is getting bullyed. All their faces look like they feel sorry for her and also that they dont really want to be around her.
4. There is not allot of sound affects in this video. It basically is only one girl talking the whole time but one of the only sound effects that i found was at the end when the message comes on the screen, there is a sound like someone is typing it and that helps the it seem like its on the computer since cyberbullying happens on the computer.
5. I think that the most effective sound effect is the part were there is none because that helps the people watching the video concentrate on what is being said actually think about how stupid it really is to cyberbully.
6. A preteen that is talking for the most part of the video and i think that it is effective because it shows the age category that is doing most of the cyberbullying. Also its a girl that is talking and i personally think that girls cyberbully allot more than guys. The tone that she uses serious and at the very happy.
7. All of these desisions affect the video and also make it an effective video because they show how serious and how stupid cyberbullying really is.
8. My overall impression on this PSA is that it is really a effective one and it really gets the message accros to the audience. Even though the first time that i watched it i started laughing and i still do not know why, i think that shows just how stupid it really is. Cyberbullying gives people the oppourtunity to say things that they wouldnt have the courage to say to a persons face and the truth is that it should be stopped because people are getting hurt everyday by it and its just going to get worse if its not stopped today.

Random CD Covers

The first band that was given is called Wendy Shingay. The name of the article that was given for the name of the band was Shingay cum Wendy and i decided to change the name once i saw the picture that was choosen, i chose to change the words so that it looked like the band name was the name of the artist. The font that i chose for both the album and the artist name because i thought that it would helo make the CD cover more indie/ acoustic music and that is what i thought of when i saw the picture. Also, i made the album name more transparent than everything else because it makes the CD cover look simpler and lighter. Also it draws the viewers eye to the picture and to the name of the artist.

The first band is called the Somer Assault. The wikipedia site gave me an article called Somer Assault which in reality is the name of an action filled video game. I decided to put "the" before Somer Assault because i thought that it would sound more like a band name. The font that i used for the band name was Chiller, and i uesd it because onece i saw the name Somer Assault , i thought of a hardcore rock band and i think that by using that font, it really illustrates that. Also the random quotation that i got was "standing like a rock" and i personally think that it is very fitting for the band. The photo that popped up was a girl looking out the door and i changed the contrast of the photo so that it would be darker and so that the name would stand out more. The color of the font that i used is red and i think that it makes the band look passionate and it also grabs the viewers eye so that it pops out more.

Photographer's Website

The photographer that i chose is *Peanut (Lauren) from Flikr.

I decided to pick this photographer because i think that this photographer's photos are amazing and in all of her photos she uses light to create a soft and dreamy setting, which makes the viewer interested in the photos and wants to see more. Along with light, Lauren uses other elements such as linear perspective, selective focus and many others that make the viewer attracted to her photos. An example of one of her photos are seen below, and i personally think everyone should go and check out her profile. Hopefully once you see this picture you'll be interested in seeing the rest of her photos.

Compostitional Elements- Lines and Center Of Interest

This picture clearly illustrates the compostitional element of center of interest because this picture has only one principal topic which is the lock and everything in the background helps to draw your eye to the lock.

This picture of a flower shows the compositional element of center of interest because the first thing that the viewer's eye sees is the yellow flower and all the leaves in the background help support and focus the eye on the flower.

Every single picture has a center of interest. It is the main idea, topic or the principal feature that the viewer's eye is attracted to. Every thing in the background should help focus the viewers attention on the main idea so that it pops out.

A picture without a center of interest or a picture with several centers of interest, will confuse the viewer's eye.It will make the viewer confused and wonder what the photo is about.

Lines in photography

This picture clearly illustrates the compositional element of lines because it leads the eye into a scene.

This picture of a train track shows the compositional element of lines because in this photo there is leading lines.

Lines are a great way to control where someone looks within an image. They can separate, bring together, or accent certain parts of a photo. The point of lines is to draw the eye into a picture. There are many types of lines that are used in photography like vertical lines for example trees and tall structural designs. There are horizontal lines that are usually fallen trees, the ocean, beaches. Curved lines or s curves are also a type of line which includes rivers, streams, paths and even the human body. There are also diagonal lines and converging lines.
